Insurance Direct Billing

Insurance Direct Billing at Fletcher Physiotherapy

Managing insurance claims should not add extra work to your appointment. At Fletcher Physiotherapy, we provide insurance direct billing for many extended health benefit plans, allowing eligible claims to be submitted directly to your insurance provider whenever your plan permits.

Many extended health plans cover services like physiotherapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, acupuncture, custom braces, and orthotics. Some or all of the treatment cost may be covered by your policy.

If you have questions about your coverage, annual limits, deductibles or co-payments, calling your insurance provider before your appointment can help you understand your benefits. If you have questions about your coverage or the billing process, our administrative staff is ready to assist.

What Is Insurance Direct Billing?

Insurance direct billing is a payment process where Fletcher Physiotherapy submits eligible treatment claims directly to your insurance provider rather than you having to pay the full amount upfront and then requesting reimbursement at a later date.

If your insurance company agrees to direct billing and assignment of benefits, the eligible portion of your treatment cost will be billed directly to your insurance company. If your plan has a deductible, co-payment or maximum coverage limit, you will be responsible for any balance at the time of your visit.

This process helps cut down on paperwork and lets you use your time for your appointments instead of claim submissions.

Who Can Benefit From Insurance Direct Billing?

Insurance direct billing may be suitable for:

  • Employees with extended health benefit plans
  • Individuals covered through workplace insurance
  • Families covered under a spouse’s insurance policy
  • Union members with eligible health benefits
  • Retirees with private health insurance
  • Patients receiving ongoing rehabilitation
  • Individuals requiring multiple treatment sessions

Whether you are attending a single visit or following a rehabilitation plan, direct billing can simplify the payment process whenever your insurer supports electronic claims.

Problems Insurance Direct Billing Helps Address

Insurance direct billing can help reduce common billing concerns, including:

  • Paying the full treatment cost before reimbursement
  • Completing insurance claim paperwork manually
  • Waiting to submit receipts after every appointment
  • Tracking multiple claims during ongoing care
  • Spending extra time communicating with insurance providers
